Here's a link to a story about Paul Watson's beating in the Magdalene Islands in 1995:

Also if you haven't read it yet please read the comment left by an idiot in my last post. Please freak out on him, I'm so sick of morons like that.

I wouldn't die for seals, and I certainly wouldn't die for humans. And here is some "logic" that you will understand, your reason for supporting sealing is the same reason why I oppose it: I will fight anyone or anything that gets in the way of MY way of life. If someone jeopardizes my well-being, my happiness, and my survival then I will get pissed off and fight back. Sealing supports the general degredation of my environment, and supports the nameless giant industry men from other countries that are getting rich by exploiting my land... so fuck yeah, I'm just as pissed as any sealer who feels threatened by environmentalists "encroaching" on their way of life. But I have to point out that my basic needs (ones that are already being threatened by the methods of the corporate megaliths of the beef industry in my province) are way more important than your secondary needs of supplying fur to Norwegians. Sealers don't kill seals for food, they kill seals for money. Money can be acquired in millions of different ways, but no amount of money will keep my water and food supply protected from the unsanitary and polluting practices of the corporate giants in my province. So what I'm saying is that I'm fighting the mega-corporations that are screwing all of us over... I just wish sealers realised that they are slaves to a corporation...they don't choose to be sealers, they HAVE to be sealers. But remember, they don't HAVE to be sealers to survive, they HAVE to be sealers because they don't know how to fight the bully. Instead, sealers turn their agression toward environmentalists (people that genuinely lack political and financial power). Do you think standing up to environmentalists means standing up for your way of life, your freedom? I don't think so. Sealers are dependent children. They are not responsible, self-driven, adult men.

"if humans are more valuable than seals, then why don't we hunt each other and turn our bodies into the ultimate luxuries? Wouldn't we fetch the ultimate price? Of course not - not only are our skins worthless, but our souls have no value either."

i dont know about your soul but im pretty sure i think mine has some value. and for all of you. there is no mcdonalds or even corner stores anywhere near sealing communties. and i really hope i met someone protesting sealers one day. so i can lay him on his worthless ass. because apperantly no one is worth the time of day. im sick of you ppl
peace out fucks

Underneath all of our sarcasm there is still an element of truth that you simply don't get. But it's not our job to enlighten you.
